They were outlawed in a lot of states because they tend to grab your clothes which becomes a problem when your stering trys to correct it selh in or after a turn check with the department of public safty [ i belive they were outlawed in the 60s ] or at least that is what i was told when the cop told me to take it off my old chevy

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 and I have special wheels on it, they are 18 inch chrome wheels. I have had them on for the last 2 summers. Just recently I noticed that my steering wheel shakes when I am driving....
How much would it cost to get a new steering system in a 99 mercury sable because someone put oil in the power steering compartment which ruined the entire system?
Have 2000 chrysler LHS. power steering went out then came back but heard a churpping sound from front right tire well. was told by friend it's probably power steering pump, if so is it easy to fix myself?
