What could be the problem for the over drive shifting back down once kicked in

My overdrive is shifting down when i changed a holy trans cooler line an trans filter what could possibly be the problem its a 97 dodge ram 3500 4x4 5.9 cummins turbo diesel dually with 218000 mi

Try lubing the shift cable (kick down cable) and linkage on the left side of the trans. Mine was frozen after sitting for a while and the trans would not shift, and it could be the speed wheel sensor on the top of the rear end that notes the speed of the truck , it could be worn out or unplugged
