What could the noise coming from my car's wheel mean?

The wheel on the driver's side of my car makes a low pitched squeek when the wheel gets pushed up into the wheel well (like when going over a speed bump) and it also makes a thump/grinding sound when I hit the brakes very hard. What could this be? Are the problems related? Any help would be appreciated!

Shocks and the break pads are hitting the rotor , thats the grinding sounds, its like metal to metal , and the shocks need replaceing , thats why its hitting the wheel well, have the wheel bearings checked also , on that side, could also be the cva joint, gone bad
