Those oxygen sensors are so senitive the least bit of carbon gets on them and they turn on your check engine light , your nissan problly needs a cold start switch / sensor . thats why it dont run good cold and dont burn the gas causing carbon on the oxygen sensor turning on your check engine light

What do you think is wrong with my 2000 Nissan MaximaGLE?
My 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE is having problems in the morning when I turn it on. 1- Turning over very loud when car is turned on 2-stalling if I don't pump the gas 3-jolts back and forth when I stop at stop lights/stop signs. These problems usually only happen in the morning especially when it is cold and go away after car is warmed up. My mechanic just changed the spark plugs and turned off the check engine light but it is back on now. HELP!
