I always use pennsoil , and have never had any thing bad happen to any motor ive had , including lawn mowers, with the milage you have , and the 3.0 you need a good oil that coats the pistons good so try in the summer 10-30 pennsoil, and in the winter 5 w 30 , it will do the job , with no worrys

Always use a Motorcraft filter with Valvoline oil. Factory specs. and as kbky11 says, depending on variations in climate swap oils according to season/temps.

SAE 5W-30 covers the widest range of temp. zones and in my Rangers I have found Valvoline to work best, I have never had any sludge buildup from this product. I do an oil change every 3 t0 4,000 miles with good results.
