What is the law regarding yellow - red lights & cameras?

I entered the intersection while the light was yellow & was over half way through when it turned red. I don't think there are strobe lights at this intersection but I think there was a small camera mounted on the pole. Does it sound like I was in violation?

As long as its yellow , you can go though with out a ticket, this is legal , and if they say its not take it to court and fight for this, yellow is go with , caution , red is stop,
