What would prevent a car from starting besides the ignitioon coil?

The ignition coil was replaced and the car is still not starting... at first it started periodicaly and then its been unable to start for the past two days...someone told me it might be my fuel pump is that a possibility? anyways if you could help i'd appreciate it...

Yes it could be a fuel pump check to see it if getting gas
3 things make a motor run: a spark to the sparke pluges , gas to be ignited buy the spark from the plug and compresion from the piston to make the gas exploed
so spark , gas and compression and a motor will run

If it has a control module it could be bad. if it deosnt work nothing works

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs! That is a simple affordable check you can do. Next check your fuel pump.

Check magnetic pick-up in distributor.
