Why is car losing power?

What do you suppose the problem is when your car seems to be struggling to accelerate and burning lots of gas and appears to be losing power?

I kind of figured car needed a tune up. already bought plugs and wires, just need to replace old ones. changed oil and filter and have new air filter. what else do you suggest? I should point out that I am not very mechanical,so please be specific. Thanks!

Put somre good stp gas treatment in the tank , and take it to a good oil change shop , and have your trnamission oil changed, with the machine they have, it takes out all the old fuild , and puts in new , this will make it last longer, and will shift like a new one, i do this evey once in awhile
