Will a fuel injection pump off of a 1998 dodge cummins work on a 1990 dodge cummins without having to change the cylinder head

I have a 1990 dodge pickup with a 5.9 cummins diesel and the injector pump is leaking , i was given an injector pump off of a 1998 dodge pickup , i know i have to change the fuel lines and the power steering pump mounting base and also the throttle linkage,etc. but do i need to change anything else.

You have to have the computer of the vechicle that was calibrated for diesel cumbustion chamber in order to have the fuel pump compatability, from a diesel to a gas pump. You can look at the specks........ fuel pressure, pressure of diesel pump vs the gas pump, if it between 5 or 10 less or greater it will work
