Baby is moving all around every time we get an ultrasound.

I have had 3 ultrasounds. One at 8 weeks one at 10 weeks and one at 12 weeks. On the 10 week and 12 week ultrasound the baby is moving all around (a lot). Is this normal or could this be a sign of something. Please be honest I really am concerned. Thanks!

It's pretty common for a baby to move around a lot. They will also start kicking. My son actually cracked his mother's rib (don't ask me how). Sometimes the food you eat will please or not please the baby as well so check and see if this happens more often after you eat certain foods. Good luck and congratulations.

Funny MtnRescue - my lil one cracked my rid as well. I think she will play soccer. It's totally normal for your baby to be moving around alot. They have a ton of room right now and every baby even that little has a different temperament. Congrats and keep webanswers in mind - there are a lot of parents and you will have a ton of questions!

This is normal for the baby to move a lot. Towards the end of pregnancy the baby will settle down and get into position for birth. If you had your ultra sound after you ate or if you drank anything with caffeine, this will cause the baby will be more active. Some women will drink a cola before an ultra sound so the baby will be more active and so the ultra sound technician can get more views of the baby. Also moving the transducer over your belly will wake the baby and become more active. So be aware when the baby is not active. This could mean a problem. Also remember the activity will slow down towards the end of pregnancy usually a month or so before birth. He/she is running out of room and is resting for the big intro to the new world and work he/she has ahead of him. So don't worry and congratulations.

THAT IS ACTUALLY FANTASTIC! Im due litterally anytime now so trust me, u WANT them to be moving. U should feel it mostly when ur resting. The more active u r, walking, excersizing, working, stressed... it rocks them to sleep. It is a growing human baby in u. They move, & grow. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest the book WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARE EXPECTING(Target, Walmart, library) It gave me all the info i needed on a month to month basis. Pictures of all stages, questions u should ask, answers u should know. Check it out.
