Baby sleeping too much

My 5 month old baby is generally awake most of the day. She eats regularly and is very happy. Today, however, she had her bottle in the morning and right afterward it all came back out. She didn't want to eat anymore, but was still in a great mood. She fell asleep for her afternoon nap. She woke up once, but fell back asleep. She had a stuffy nose, but it has cleared up (I didn't give her medication for it), but has been very healthy otherwise.
I'm worried about her. I wonder if it's just a growth spurt. I recall my son being this way once or twice....I think..
Can you tell me your opinion?

This sounds like a virus, or even just teething symptoms, my children (I have 4) often had excess mucus that would cause minor vomiting, and a stuffy nose and sometimes mild fever during teething. As with all infants however dehydration is a concern when they are ill. If she is running a fever over 102 degrees farenheit, or can't hold down any liquids at all or fails to hold down food for 24 hours you should see your pediatrician.

Kids are just like us sometimes they don't want to eat for whatever reason. be worried when the baby dosn't eat the whole day and has a fever, even then teething may cause a fever. also be worried for constant repetitve vomitting. it's better to worry than to ignore, don't worry your a new mom that's doing great!

I have an 8 month old - she's my first and I freak out every time she does this too, but I have found a pattern with her at least. It seems when she is on a growth spurt, she will eat an ounce or two at each feeding for about 2-3 days. Then the next couple of days she'll sleep a couple or extra hours for about 2-3 days. I think she started this right at about 4 or 5 months, so I wouldn't worry at all. If she is sick - you'll know - she won't be happy and playful.
