Can i see my daughter if we havent been to court for custody

My ex girlfriend wont let me take my daughter or see my daughter with out supervision from her. Neither of us have been to court for this issue, she tells me her attorney is telling her that she can do this without a court order. Needing to know if I can see my daughter or if I can even pick her up whenever I want to spend time with her, without the visit being supervisied.

This same thing happened to me, I was told from my lawyer that she is trying to make you look like a bad father by showing that you havent been seeing your child. although you dont want suprevised visitations you should still make the attempt. this will prove to the judge that you are trying but your ex is making it difficult. make sure you document everything!
