The mother and father both have rights/responsibilities over the child such as child support and the ability to sign up for assistance, but the grandparents also have responsibility to the teenage parent such as she cannot move out of their home without their permission and she still needs their permission to sign contracts or legal documentation.

The father still has rights to the child and more so than even the maternal grandparents. He has the right to visit the child and to help support the child as well.
