Sorry, the fact that you had twins does not increase the length of time to which you are entitled for maternity leave. It will only increase the number of deductions you can claim on your federal and state income tax returns. Heartfelt congratulations on our twins.

Possibly, if your doctor orders you on bedrest towards the end of your pregnancy. This is state conditional however. Massachusett allows 8 weeks per child so therefore twins would allow you 16 weeks total because they know most women who are pregnant with twins have more complications. FMLA is conditional on other factors too. You will need to have been employed there for at least one year and worked at least 1250 hours before you even qualify. So if you have not met those qualifications then you would not have the FMLA benefits to protect your job. Good luck and congratulations. Susu
