Friend doesnt want baby, wants me to take care of it.

My friend is due any day with her baby girl. She called to tell me she doesn't want the baby anymore, she want me to have it. She said I would take care of the baby better than anyone else. Is there any assistance I could receive by taking care of the baby?

Maybe your friend is just overwhelmed. I think maybe you should just give it a couple of weeks and see what happens. Seek out help for post partium depression. Her hormones are crazy now ans she is finally realizing the great responsibility, but once the baby gets here she may change her mind.

If you did take the baby, there really isn't assistance other than you can file for child support from both the mother and the father. What a good friend to even consider this though. I hope everything works out for you and your friend.

That is a big choice for you to make.

Just because you would make a better parent then your friend doesn't mean that you should do it.

Think it through before you commit to anything.
