They won't tell you anything because they do not know what is wrong yet. This is why more test were ordered for you. Doctors have to take every precaution because if they didn't and something did go wrong it's their fault. So try and relax and let them do some more testing to figure out if there is something wrong. You could be perfectly fine, they just don't know yet and need further testing to be sure.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had the same thing happen. They will perform a colposcopy which is sort of like a pap smear only they put a vinegar substance on your cervix and look at it. The parts that turn white mean there are abnormal cells. It doesn't really hurt just a bit uncomfortable. They may also take small pieces of your cervix to send for analysis. I had this done as well and everything came back normal. Some people just have abnormal pap test findings. If there is something wrong they will more than likely be able to treat it once you deliver your baby. As far as the baby is concerned, he/she will not be affected by this :)

I know that it seems really scary right now, but abnormal paps are more common than you would think. In the past, I have had an abnormal pap and when they performed the colposcopy, the results came back normal. Your doctor is just being cautious in ordering extra testing to be done. It isn't something that you should be concerned about yet. Remember, the more stress you have, the worse it is for your baby. So try and relax a bit and remember that abnormal doesn't always mean bad!
