I am confused. You breastfed someone elses baby? I have never heard of anyone getting HIV from the baby they breastfed, but if you had any cuts or abrasions on your breast it could happen. What concerns me is that you took it upon yourself to breastfeed somone elses child. What if you had an infection and didn't know it? You could have made even a healthy baby sick, but one with HIV, you could have even killed it. If that had happened you could have been charged with involuntary manslaughter in some states. Susu

HIV transfer from baby to mother while breastfeed?
I am 30 year old, got one year old male baby,once I have gone hospital with mother,I saw a baby crying(4days old), i breastfeed that baby, suddenly doctor came and scold me ! suprised to hear the new, that 4-days old female baby mother got HIV Positive.! I am sacred and worrying much, doctor told to wash it with soap my breast. Not to feed my own son :-( can I get HIV +ive,if not can i feed my child with breast milk...?
