I am still in some moderate pain after an egg retrieval is that normal.

All that I have read about IVF and retrieval said that I should feel fine in a day or two. It's been two weeks. My upper abdomen is distended and very sensative to the touch. It hurts to cough or lift anything heavy. Jarring movements are also painful, to complicate things, I just found out that I am pregnant, but had this pain before transferring of the eggs. I am concerned and uncomfortable. The IVF people said my overies were just enlarged and it would pass, but I cant find anything to indicate that this much discomfort is normal.

I would definatly go to the doctor to go get everything checked out. Some people have more pain than others, but you should certainly not be in that much pain. It could be an infection, nothing too serious, but it could get serious if you don't get checked out.

Good luck!

It isn't a fun procedure, that is why egg harvesting pays as well as it does.

if the doctors assure you it will pass, it probably will.
