I have taken the depo shot 3 times and i think i may be pregnant.. can you get pregnant on the shot?

I havent had my period in 3 months.. the past 3 weeks i have been up every morning throwing up... i get sick after i eat... i get weird pains in my stomach... i am very tired constantly... i am scared cause my boyfriend left me.. i am about to be 18.... i want to know if i could be pregnant?

Yes, no form of birth control is 100% effective, there is a chance of pregnancy with the depo shot.

Yes, you can get pregnant on any form of birth control. But with your boyfriend leaving you, this almost sounds stress induced. Stomach pains are not normal in early stages of pregnancy. Usually those only occur in later stages when the uterus is stretching. But stress and emotional upheaval can leave you tired and sick to your stomach. Go ahead and test to relieve your mind. Then consider talking to someone and getting some counseling to help you through losing your boyfriend. Good luck and best wishes.

Yes you can get pregnant on the shot. You can get pregnant on any birth control method because it is not 100% effective. Until you find out for sure I wouldn't do anything that would hurt a baby if I were. If you go a couple of months without a period I would talk to your doctor about getting a blood pregnancy test done because the urine test does not always pick it up and part of it may because of the birth control method.
