Are they saying Jan 7 because of a sonogram that was done? This is not unusual for the dates to change slightly. They are looking at the size of the fetus right now. I know people who knew the day that they conceived and even their dates changed by sonogram. Based on when your period started you would be due on Jan 20, 2009. You most likely conceived between April 19 and April 23, most likely around the 22nd. By conception date you would be due between Jan 6th to Jan 10th. Which is right in line with your sonogram. Pregnancies are not really based on 9 months, but 40 weeks. I hope this helps, Good luck. Susu

Due dates are guesses. Every woman is different and if you knew how many women have given birth before or after the "predicted" due date it would amuse you. If your period started on the 10th and you began having unprotected sex with your boyfriend on the 17th, you probably became pregnant from that activity.

Doctors can be completely wrong. When my ex-wife experienced dizziness during her sixth month of pregnancy I took her to an emergency room where the "intern" doctor decided she was not pregnant. His assessment was based on an examination of the "fundus." The doctor actually became angry with us because we kept telling him we knew my wife was pregnant and that he was wrong. The stupid doctor would not change his diagnosis. So while we were waiting to see a hospital administrator because we knew the doctor was wrong, my wife passed out. She was admitted to the hospital and my daughter was born (prematurely) 2 days later. So much for doctors knowing what they're doing.

Stop worrying so much about timing and due dates and enjoy being pregnant (if that is possible).

Only you can decide if the baby is your boyfriend's or someone else's. And I think you already know that.
