Infant Feedings

My 6 month old baby is uninterested in eating and has been this way for about one month. I have recently started pumping my milk and giving it to him in a bottle so I can monitor his consumption....he is only taking 3-4 ounces-4 times daily. He is more interested in his oatmeal and veggies...is this normal? He is not gaining much weight- what can I do?

This is very normal. He has been drinking milk for 6 months so the new food is going to be his favorite for a while. As long as he is growing (little growth is still growth) then don't worry. He should be due for another check up soon and if your doctor is worried he will let you know, but as long as he is eating - don't worry. Enjoy him eating his veggies and oatmeal while you can. Soon he will get tired of that too.

I agree. I've had a lot of the same worries because I have a little eater as well. She is 9-months-old and will still only take 4 oz at a time. Some babies just have littler appetites. mma_mom is right, be sure and share your concerns with your doctor at the next check up, but I wouldn't worry if I were you :)
