Fun Question: Pregnancy Food Cravings. What were/are yours?

I'm sure this has been asked sometime before, but it's always a fun question: Ladies, what have been your food cravings while pregnant? Mine was a huge plate of celery and carrot sticks with salt for breakfast every morning!

With my first pregnancy I craved those fruit rollover slams from Denny's, pickles and cherry peppers. With my second pregnancy I craved avacodoes, tuna salad sandwiches and those torengos chips that used to come in a triangle can like the pringles cans.

It was funny because I never had any cravings when I was pregnant. As a matter of fact, I wasn't very hungry at all and had to force myself to eat more than I was hungry for. But my husband on the other hand had all of the cravings - pickles, ice cream, etc. Now when I was nursing, I ate like a teenage boy. Craving or not, if you set something in front of me I would eat it!

I don't have any kids of my own but my mom would always get so sick and one of the things should could eat was dry golden graham cereal. It's funny that growing up it was always our favorite cereal. A box would probably only last a few days between us 4 kids.

and my aunt craved beef stew during the pregnancy of her youngest daughter. I used to baby sit her when she was a toddler. I would ask her what she wanted to eat the answer was always B2. She was saying beef stew. So I wonder if there is any coralation between cravings and the foods kids love.

My last pregnancy was iced tea (decaf - unsweetend). I drank a gallon of de-caff unsweetended iced tea a day (sometimes more). I always heard that what you craved the most - your kids would hate. Strangly - my 1 year old loves iced tea (unsweetened). If you have a glass of tea in front of him, he says Peeese (please) and will drink the whole glass... I had to switch back to decaff because he drinks all my tea... lol. I've never seen a baby like tea more than milk, but mine does....

LOL! OLIVES! Green olives and LOTS of them! I knew the sodium was bad, but I couldn't help it! I like green olives, but have never liked them enough to eat them all day (several times a day, I would eat 7 or 8 of them & then later, want some more)l Now, I still like them but am back to hardly ever eating them! strange!

What's even stranger is that I never really believed in cravings during pregnancy. I thought that they were no more than we normally get. I thought that women just focused on them because they always heard that they were supposed to get them! Kind of "it's all in your head" kind of thing! but nope! now I know that they are real!
