Otherwise he has just as much right to the child as she does. Even if your daughter chose to give the child up for adoption, he would have to agree to this also. She can go to court, get sole custody of the child and give you guardianship but at any point, either of them has the right to fight to take the child back. I wish I could tell you something differently. You need to get a lawyer for her and yourself to have papers ready for as soon as the child is born.
