I have 25 more days left till due date! But having pain...

Hello. This is my 5th child! yes 5th lol This pregnancy has been very different and pretty much all of my pregnancies have differed in some way. Anyhow, the night before last night, I had pain that was shooting from my back to my front for hours then it stopped. The pain even woke me up. Now last night, I started to get pain in my lower right side both in front and in my back. It's very painful whether I sit or lay down. I am pretty sure it's not labor, but again I never felt labor with any of my other children until I was around 6cent! I have fast deliveries. Does anyone think this could possibly be a urinary tract infection? Or something serious? Or should I wait it out?

I will suggest you go the labour ward for them to check or to the ER because every pregnancy is unique and like you said not all labour are the same.
It could even be braxton hicks but then again, any time from 37 weeks is considered full term.
Good luck and keep us posted

Each pregnancy causes more and more issues with the bodies. I have had four children and each added something different to the mix. Stretching of the pelvic muscles and bones can cause such pain. But it's best that you get it assessed if there is any kind of rhythmic nature to these pains especially if you deliver quickly. Good luck and best wishes.

You might be experiencing Braxton-Hicks pain. These are false contractions preparing you for the real ones. I have 7 kids and I found that walking really helps in loosening up those muscles that we use in labor. Good Luck!

It could be a few different things causing the pain. If you are carrying the baby low it could just be the tendons and muscles stretching in new areas. Also depending on the babies position, you could be experiencing prodromal labor pains due to positioning, this could mean you may experience "back labor" during delivery. I know I had 'false" contractions for a good month leading up to delivery, I couldn't sleep and no position was comfortable. This was all due to the babies positioning. I would definitely put a call into your dr or midwife to inform them of what you are experiencing. They always have emergency appointments available during the day for pregnant women in your situation. Best of luck and I hope you have a wonderful delivery.

Anything is possible. If this is something you've never experienced before, I strongly suggest that you seek advice from your OB/GYN. Could be pre-labor or any number of things. All pregnancies, labor and deliveries are different and unique. 37 weeks is normal for full term in my experience and from other women I have known. I'm not a doctor though.

I want to say this could be something like I had with my daughter heartburn and it was terrible or with my second child gallstones and I had to get my gallbladder removed after I had her it causes you to have pain shooting from your back to your front and it is terrible if it causes you to have shortness of breath this is what it could be anything else could be braxton hicks, actual labor pains, or something could be wrong so you would want to ask your physician

Since this is your fith delivery I wouldnt get to worried about it. With each pregnancy your body changes. It is also possible that the baby is getting into position for birth! The end of your pregnancy can be very tiring and painful; all your muscle are stretched to the max and ready to have that baby! If it gets unbearable I would contact your OB, or midwife! GOOD LUCK!

Nope your not ready yet! Those shooting pains are your body getting ready though I have 5 children and I started getting shooting pains like that at the end with all of them. Even though this is your fifth child your ligaments are still stretching. They are very painfull try putting your feet up. Or taking a warm bath helped me. Your going to have your baby soon so these wont last for long. Of course you know your body so if your feeling more- than definitily call your doctor or call the labor and delivery room . They should be more than happy to give you advice. Thankyou and God Bless

Congrats on your soon to be born baby! Well first of all, we all know that every pregnancy is different and this could be Pre-Labor. I have a 3 month old baby boy. Praise the Lord! And I actually had similar pains like that 2 days before he was born. I think you should go in to Labor & Delivery and get evaluated. You never know, you might be dialating already. WOrst case scenario they will send you home for another day or so, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps and good luck in Labor!
