Do I need a vendors license to sell jewelry & accesseries on a street corner or street fairs?

I've already registered for a TAX ID #, but do I also need other permits and licenses to say sell on 5th Ave. by Central Park or the Farmers markets in the New York City area. I've worked flea markets in the past, but I need to make sure that I'm covered lawfully before venturing into other areas of my personal small business(Jewelry & Accesseries)

Thanks, Ricardo

Ok the main thing is to call the city administration of county commision they will be more than happy to tell you. Although the answers vary you aren't selling food product, lotions, or beverages so no health permits. you should be just fine it is a public place and most cities have a location policy. As long as you aren't blockin store entrances or windows delaysing through street traffic, or harrasing pedestrians you should be fine. Still check with your county commisioners office.
