Yes definitely avoid swimming in chlorine after dying your hair, it will wash the color out or change it to grey/green.
Yes you should avoid chlorinated water because it will fade out the color but if you do, use a leave in conditioner because your hair will absorb the conditioner tand less chlorinated water...but really you should stay away from chlorinated water... *
Yes, you must avoid such type of water to prevent harms of your hair.
You can expose your hair to chlorine as long as it is not daily. Is it recommended? No...but its summer and we all like to be by the pool. Really daily washing will fade your color... so go for it, only if you get your hair wet with tap water before entering the chlorinated water. This will help keep your hair from getting too dry as well.
They say you shouldn't, especially if you have blond hair, but I go swimming all the time in the summer. What I do is wet my hair and coat it with a heavy leave in conditioner before I go in, then rinse as soon as possible afterward. Not only has my color survived, but my hair feels nice and soft, too.
Wet your hair with regular water first and rinse after your hair will soak up the regular water and wont be affected by the chlorine
Don't be grossed out, but I try not to shampoo or wet my hair for at least three days after I have it colored. It helps to "set" the color.
Yes avoid chlorine. Your hair has platelets that overlap one another, to color hair you must lift these platelets and deposit color. Chlorine lifts these platelets as well exposing the bare cuticle and your haircolor to fade.
If you have just colored your hair, the cuticle is still open and chlorine can damage that color; so keep your hair up in a pony tail or a pretty clip. Anytime after the first day, you can go swimming, etc. Just wet you hair a little and put some heavy conditioner on it. Once your finished swimming, take a shower, wash your hair with a shampoo that is for color treated hair such as Redken and follow-up with a conditioner for color treated hair (Again Redken) I chose Redken as it's great for color treated hair and has no extra ingredients cause a build-up problem.
