A number of things can cause hair breakage. First and foremost, heat from a blowdryer, flatiron or curling iron wreck hair if the hair has not been completely coated by mousse or some other protectant. Secondly, chemical processing from perms or excessive bleaching can damage hair. Poor nutrition can also cause dull broken hair and an unhealth y scalp. Gelatin is very good for hair and nails as well as a balanced protein and vitamin rich diet!

The causes of hair breakage can lie in a simple nutritional deficiency.

A deficiency of these vitamins & minerals can be the cause of hair breakage:

Vitamin E
Vitamin B
Silica
Sinc
Iron

A lack of these whole foods can also be the cause of hair breakage:

Sunflower seeds
Almonds
Walnuts
Dark leafy greens
Flaxseed oil

Try adding these foods, vitamins and minerals to your diet to restore your hair's health and shine.

Many things can cause hair breakage. Some could be; hormonal imbalances, stress/tension/worry, harsh chemicals, direct applied heat, brushing while hair is wet (therefore, weakening it..), skin diseases, unecessary friction to the hair/scalp, or over syling your hair. Be good to your hair. I don't use excessive direct heat, i use sunscreen containing hair products, don't brush when hair is wet, if I do my hair at home or have it done at the salon I ask for the most natural product possible with the least harsh chemicals and keep it well conditioned. Try these. I hope it helps!
