My hair will not dye

I have been dying my hair for years and all of the sudden it will only dye in some areas, I have talked to hair professionals and they say it is some kind of chemical imbalance. I am trying to find a way to get my hair one color all over, please help!

Maybe it is time to let your hair grow out to its natural hair color. It could be your hair just can't take any more color in its current state. You'd have to cut it short to a pixie style cut and then just let it grow out naturally.

If you feel you must dye your hair, as I do, you can go to a beauty supply shop such as Sally's and purchase neutral protein filler. This is a pretreatment that helps you hair grasp onto color. Follow the directions. Your hair will feel stiff like you put too much mousse in your hair but its worth it. Another product that does the same thing is called porofill but i haven't been able to find it. Also you can buy another bottle of the color you are going to use and put the colorant straight on your hair leaving it for 15 minutes to soak in, then mix your other as directed and put it on your hair. For in between refresher, mix 1/2 bottle of colorant (do not add peroxide) to a bottle of your favorite shampoo, but use gloves when you wash your hair as it may stain. Also, between colorings wash your hair in warm water and rinse with cool. This reduces fading. Let me know what your results were. Susu
