There is absolutely nothing wrong if they're used. Baby's are not known for athlete's foot. Usually the shoes are not even worn too often , so they are in good condition most of the time

I was actually told that toddlers shoes should be bought new, only because they are usually soft and mold to the child's foot. If you buy a used shoe, it might be formed to the former child's foot, so it would be uncomfortable for your child and could perhaps cause damage.
Otherwise, it is a way to save money, but it might not be worth the risk of damaging your child's feet.
