Yes, if the area has been infected/picked it can help heel, reduce infection and minimize scarring. Clean area with mild wash pat try with soft paper and apply antibiotic with clean swab. Keep hands away from the area and allow the acne to be clean from dirt and makeup.

Neosporin can definitely help with your acne externally. It works as an antibacterial and also has healing properties. Neosporin can be an effective treatment. If the treatment however is not working then you should maybe look at holistec methods for the answer.

I have had acne for about 15 years and have tried everything from antibiotics to Differin and nothing really worked 100%. The way I found a cure was to look internally and repair my body from within. The first thing that I did was radically overhaul my diet and replace fatty, sugary and oily food with only wholesome foods and started to drink green smoothie drinks which really helped me alkalise my body. I also had a internal fungus infection called candida albicans which I cleared by taking supplements such as Anticandida, Threelac and Fivelac. Once I removed all the candida from my body I saw a vast improvement in my skin. I completely cured my acne when I cleanses my digestive system using Phyllium Husk supplements which cleared the gut of all the toxins and fungus that was growing there.

Sure, it helps a little, but what kind of products do you think will work for your skin all depends on your personal skin and how serious your acne is. Don't use harsh treatments on skin that have salacitic acid or other harsh chemicals like alcohol. Many people overuse skin products thinking that it will help and it only irritates acne and causes more breakouts. Use a mild cleanser and moisturizer with no alcohol or harmful ingredients. Use rosewater and honey on skin as well. The mixture can be made from 7 pedals, 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon. Make sure you are mixing these ingredients well and don't apply till the mixture is red.
