Why do my acrylic nails keep lifting?

I have the primer, I make sure to use it everytime, but once the acrylic has dried, my nails still lift?! I make sure not to have any oil or lotion on my nails. I don't get it!

Do you gently file your real nail with a fine file before you put on the primer? You have to be careful because you do not want to damage your nail, but this allows the primer to really get in there and makes sure that your nails don't have any natural oil that gets in the way.

You also may also be putting the acrylic too thick on the tip of your nail and not as thick on the bottom causing them to be "top heavy".
