Any help on how to handle annoying people when plan ning a wedding?

How do you handle annoying people when planning a wedding? like the uncle that has rsvp yes to to previous cousins weddings but doesn't show up or the cousin that you know will bring her kids under some flimsy excuse or the grandmother that wants to be the center of attention and says she is not coming but because of past behavior needs people to fawn over her and talk her into how much she is needed or the cousin who has a loser boyfriend you don't want to invite or the one person that expects you to provide a babysitter?help

It's very easy. Either eliminate these guests from the reception or place them at one table, similar to the movie "The Wedding Singer." Good luck!

Breathe deeply and relax...

Every wedding has it's "oops" moments or two or three---usually caused by those weird cousins or uncles, etc. There's always something. We dream of a "perfect" day---but perfect is pretty hard to manage, especially when putting together a wedding.

So keep breathing and take the long view---it IS going to be a wonderful and special day, and you just have to realize that there will be some craziness, and all you can do is try to rise above it, and not let it get to you. Keep your eyes on the prize.

Someday you may laugh about how Uncle Fred caught your wedding bouquet, or little Johnny walked down the aisle in wet pants.

Good luck, and best wishes!

I love the advice of setting up a table for the annoying people! Seriously, you need to do your best to ignore the troublemakers and people who give unwanted advice. It's your day but it's just one day in the grand scheme of things so try really hard not to let it stress you out.

Have you tried talking to each one of theses neusances individuallly and letting them know how you feel? If that don't work than you will just have to put them all on the back burner, worry about you, this is your day and just know that everything will fall into place, it somehow always does! Good Luck!

Thanks for all the great answers! even though we can't put all these annoying people together because one is a grandmother and will sit with the other grandparents...and so on...just the thought of them all together makes me smile and i realize what they have in common is they are all self centered and would HATE to be seated with so and so because THEY know how self centered the others are!
