April wedding, WITHOUT pastels!

I am getting married April 2010, but I HATE pastel colors. What colors would still be appropriate for April time frame? PLEASE help, I am going crazy! Also, my dress is Ivory/cafe, so whatever colors we pick, MUST go with Ivory/cafe.

Dark colors would look good. You can use a "charcoal" color or perhaps a dark orange/red combo.

You can use "pastel" colors without the bubble gum hues. Like instead of lemon yellow, try a beautiful shimmering gold. and the same for green. instead of bright try deeper tones. It is your day. Do what you want.

Try dark plumyou can accent it with almost any color. A mossy green also (although it may not seem like it when you first hear it). Charcoal colors are also nice

I was at a wedding recently where all the bridesmaids wore black----long dresses, same fabric, but in individual designs to fit their shapes. It was stunning! Very formal and elegant. And easy---and you know those bridesmaids will be able to wear those dresses again!

I think a deep red and orange would go great with an ivory mocha wedding dress and would be great for the month of April!
