Fabric choice for baptism dress

I will be making my first baptism dress to be sold and want to know what is the best, easiest fabric to sew as the underlayer to the lace?
I checked on several types but each has it's own problems. How about Casa?

The most common is batiste unless you are looking at full immersion then a poly/cotton blend. You didn't state which type of Casa (Organza,Chiffon, or Crepe), but most of those are thin, and while they sometimes have a satin-y look, using it as a lining under lace can be seen through. If you want a shiny lining, might I suggest Contessa satin? It's a heavier grade. Susu

Cotton 100% for comfort for the child. Even though it may wrinkle easily it shouldn't matter since it won't be worn often. Cotton is easy to sew. Lace is also available in 100% cotton.
