Getting married but my family does not what that to happen

I just do not understand why my family does not want me to get married i am,old enough too and in my heart i know i am ready and i love my fiance with all my can u tell me why they does not want this to happen

Maybe if he talk to you family and lets them know how both of you feel about each other. has he try to get close to them cuz family is an important he have to gain their trust and love and it will make it alot easier
