Our wedding in schedule in april 2009 in our backyard there is a utiltiy pole in the middle of the yard and we are unsure how we should decorate it?

By all means decorate it! You want to buy some plastic sheeting (kinda like a runner) in any color that would match your wedding colors. Staple it as far up as you can and then wrap the pole loosely with it until you reach the ground. Then take some white tulle and start at the top and work it down loosely to the ground going the opposite way (so if you wrapped the pole clock-wise with the plastic, then wrap the tulle counter clockwise. This gives a really cool dimensional effect.) Then if your wedding is going to be towards the evening hours, you can buy white lights that are battery operated to wrap around it as well. Then just turn them on right before sunset. I would say buy these right after Christmas when they go on sale. You may have too look around for them, or just buy them when they first start putting out Christmas decorations (make sure the string is white!) good luck on your wedding!
