You should read your contract to see exactly what it says regarding construction, and go from there. You may also want to call the venue and ask them what they offer in order to make up for this very serious issue. Perhaps they can offer to pay for a shuttle to take the guests from the church to the reception and back, due to lack of parking? Perhaps they can offer you a partial refund on your site fee? Talk to them, and good luck! At the end of the day, remember that your wedding day is about the two of you and your love...focus on that aspect and don't let this distract you from what is most important.

Weddomg reception hall issues
Hello,
My reception for the wedding is this weekend and it is currently under construction. When we booked last year we were never told of any plans to re-model. The front parking lot is non-existent and looks like a giant mudpit because of all the rain. Is there a breach of contract here?

You should be able to get a full refund because they failed to notify you of the contruction. If a contruction noticed wasn't posted on any documents then you are entitled to a full refund. Call to talk to someone there in person. If they refuse to give you a refund, contact a lawyer for a free consultation.
