You need to go to a major fabric store and look in all the pattern books they have. If you like the sleeves of one dress and the neckline of another, and the train on yet another, a good seamstress may be able to incorporate them into one dress, making yours unique. It will depend upon whether the seams are similar for each of those peices. I have seen this done, resulting in some of the coolest dresses I have ever seen, and as I said, no one else had the same dress, making it even more special. Actually, if I remember correctly, each of the brides lookes at not only wedding dress patterns but also prom dress patterns to get that perfect dress.
