I recently did my friends at a local restaurant, it was wonderful!! I pre arranged a bunch of stuff with the staff, when to bring out appetizers, drinks etc.. they were so helpful and glad to have us and I didn't have anything to clean up afterwards, and it didn't really cost much more than it would have had I done it at my house or in the park, and this way I got to enjoy the shower with her.

I personally like an intimate setting. at someones house or you could rent out a club house for a few hours for the party. Ask around to friends and family and get one person willing to help with the party so you can find the right place or ask other people involved in wedding if they wouldn't mind, if you were throwing it at their place. then they are supplying the place without fully funding the party yet getting props.

a bridal shower should include any females involved or invited to the wedding. Don't be picky invite them all and see who rsvps. This is for the bride and you want as many people as you can to show up.

Plus if she is having that location wedding this plus the bachlorette party will be the last time some will see her until after she is married.

Sometimes they have those cute little houses or 'tea rooms' you can rent for a party. That would be a good place to have one. I've known friends to have bridal showers and baby showers in those types of places. Restaurants always seem too loud. If you are on a budget you might go for a park or a persons house. Park would depend on Weather/time of year though. There's always a civic center or community center to rent as well. Hope I could have been of some help!
