Am I entitled to vacation pay after leaving job?

I worked for an eyeglass place for 10 years and after having my hours cut back I resigned and went with another eyeglass place. I had 48 hours of vacation due and did not recieve compensation for. Am I entitled this?

From what I know, yes. That vacation time is yours, you earned it, it is yours. But if I was you I would also look in your employee handbook.

Company policy or your employee handbook determines if you are entitled to be paid for any unused vacation time. There is no law that says you must be paid.
