We sold-financed our business over a year ago. The person signed the contract and agreed to pay us on a monthly basis after the first 3 months. This has not been happening. We have tried to figure out ways to help with payment plans. We have recieved some payments of "good will' but no where near enough. As a result we are going into further credit card debt. We have not been charging the person interest which is causing us to go further into debt. The person says that s/he is not able to pay the business rent but this cannot be true as the lease still has our name on it incase there is a default in payment the mangement team would have contacted us. We have placed a lean on the person. But REALLY need the money. What can we do? We have tried to be nice but I think we are being t
