Business travel out of town Expenses

If you have to live out of town for your job and your company does not give you a food per diem, can you claim meals on your individual tax return and if so what is the limit per day? Is there also a limit to number of months?

The Per Diem rate actually varies depending on the city. Here's the info from the IRS which lists all the states and communities.

However, you should check with an accountant as these are the rates are the credit a business can take when paying for you and not have it count as part of your salary. I'm not sure an individual can do that unless you form an LLC and do it that way.
