Lien- You may use my own experience as your answer or seek an attny. I owned a beverage business in a Midwest State. I even had my named trademarked. 10 years later, My trademark attorney had died, his ofice didnt fulfill the trademark requirments to renew , When I discovered this oversight I went to renew my trademark only to find another beverage company in another state was also using my name. I ultimatley found that company and they had aready been in and out of business so I was able to reclaim trademark use of name. My point is that another company in a very similar industry in a nearby state was able to use my name even though it had neen protected by trademark for over a decade. regards
