Pto

For salary employees: Can exempt employees take PTO (personal time off) in any increments? For instance an employee has a doctor appointment and isn't going to come to work until noon, can they take 4 hours of PTO or does the employer have to pay that employee for the full day even though not worked?

If PTO can be taken in increments, are there any rules to that application?
