Quitting a job and not being paid for the work that was done

What do i need to do if i quit a job and the work that i had performed i am being refused to be paid for by the company?

You should be entitled to the hours you worked before you quit after your last paycheck.

I'm not sure if you would talk to the labor department or if you needed to take them to small claims court.
