Recordable or Not Recordable that is the Question?

I have a gentleman on my site that fell and hurt his shoulder when he fell. At first he said he felt fine, five hours later he said he was very uncomfortable and was going home.He showed up for work the next week and he said each day he was feeling better. The start of the next week I had to take him in for X-rays. They showed nothing was broken although I had no doubt he was in pain we got him an MRI which did show a possible small tear in his rotator cuff. He was given light duty as prescribed by the Doctor.
Enough History, The question I have is what it should be reported as.
Since he was not prescribed meds and had no lost time I have him down as a First Aid non recordable (unless we find more information later) Am I interpreting OSHA rulings correctly? What would be your call.
