UNIFIRST UNIFORM COMPANY

My business signed a uniform contract several years ago with Textilease uniform company, Unifirst bought them out and have been delivering our uniforms for several years. The expiration date on our original contract was 6/07. We told our rep that we did not want to renew our contract due to what we felt were extreme price increases. We proceeded to shop our account and signed with another company. Unifirst has treated through an attorney that they plan on suing us for $12,000.00. They say that the contract automatically renews. What are my options... Thank you Dan Smith

You may need to hire a lawyer to combat their lawyer. I would look at the contract and see if it says auto-renew anywhere in it.

Also, I would talk to your rep and make sure that they did cancel the account and make it not renew.
