Vacation Pay

Our employees are paid commission for paint and body work. How do we pay them for vacation time? The hours that they are paid for far exceed the actual work time. Please help!

If there is no predetermined benefits "hourly" rate. I suggest you average their rate for the same length of time preceeding the vacation. However, if your paystubs given to the employees(with the paycheck) define an hourly amount and an amount of hours, then the rate IS predetermined and that is the rate to be used. Good LUck!
