Crack in the floor of my basement

Should I be concerned if there is a crack in by basement floor that spans the width of it? Also, should I have this repaired quickly?

Definitely something to have someone look at. It is not unusual for houses to settle over time and for cracks to appear. Whether or not it is serious is something only a professional can tell you though. I would recommend you contact a home repair person to have them check it out.

I would have it looked at. They may not have laid the foundation correctly, hence the crack. So it is worth checking into to make sure it doesn't cause further damage.

Agreed. I would contact a professional. I've attached a website with a video. At least you will have a background of what you, or a professional can do (and so you don't get ripped off!)

Good luck!
