Hard hat

Every company has there own policies on this issue usually based on insurance requirements, but in general, most require everyone to wear one while of the job site. On construction sites hard hat colors can signify different roles. For instance: white for supervisors, blue for technical advisors, red for safety inspectors, and yellow for workmen. A hard hat also gives a worker a distinctive profile, identifiable even in peripheral vision, for safety around equipment or traffic. Even if a hard hat is properly inspected and cared for, it should be replaced after five years of use.

Hard hats are mostly used on commercial job sites. It is the policy of most companies for safty and insurance reasons. In California we have a Goverment Agency called OSCIA. The law here is any
three story building it is manitory and you will be sighted if you do not comply. But many companies
require them on every job site.As it shows that they are concerend about the safty of their employees.
This is somthing that insurance companies like to see. It can keep your insurance rates down.
